The firm takes its name from the Roman emperor Aurelian. Aurelian became emperor during the Crisis of the Third Century, when the Roman Empire was torn apart and nearly collapsed.  A master strategist and tactician who reunited the empire, Aurelian earned the title Restitutor Orbis, Restorer of the World. Aurelian was not from Rome; he came from a provincial locale forgotten to time. But he remains one of history’s greatest generals and crisis responders.
